Opelousas Funeral services for Mrs. June DeLois Formon Gregory, age 70, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2011, in the Gregg Funeral Chapel in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Interment will follow in Pruetts Chapel Cemetery in Paragould, Arkansas.
Rev. Brian Monehan and Rev. Betty Williams will officiate the services.
She was a native of Leachville, Arkansas, but she grew up in Aurora, Illinois. She lived most of her life in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She has been living in Opelousas, Louisiana, for the past 2 years. She was a sensational homemaker and always made sure her home, her husband, and daughter were well taken care of at all times. She was all about cooking and baking her signature dishes. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
She died on Friday, January 28, 2011, at 8:16 a.m. at Senior Village Nursing Home of Opelousas, LA.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, William A. Gregory of Opelousas one daughter, Sherl Picchioni and partner, Judith Estorge of Opelousas two sisters: Edith Hall of Aurora, Illinios and Donna Monehan of Jonesboro, Arkansas and one grandson, Christopher Picchioni of Opelousas.
She was preceded in death by her parents: James Donald Formon and Audrey Edith Cope Formon.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Gregg Funeral Home of Jonesboro, Arkansas on Monday, January 31, 2011, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. On Tuesday, visitation will continue in the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. time of services.
