Judith Ann Judy Mixon Adams

Palmetto Graveside Funeral services for Mrs. Judith Ann Judy Mixon Adams, age 73, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2008, in the Palmetto Community Cemetery. Rev. Roy Baker will officiate the services.

Mrs. Adams was a native of Palmetto, a life-long resident of Plaquemine and a current resident of Opelousas. She died on Monday, January 7, 2008, at her residence. She was homemaker and a very devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Survivors include her son, Joseph Gerard Joey Adams III and fianc, Tonya of Baton Rouge; and her daughter, Doris Ann Adams Bryant and husband, Michael of Baton Rouge; three sisters: Margurette Taylor of Bridge City, TX; Gloria Lanclos of Opelousas; and Betsy Boles of Port Barre; three grandchildren: Doris Michelle Bryant and Nicholas Bryant, both of Plaquemine; and Samantha Taylor and husband, Jimmy of Plaquemine; and two great-grandchildren: Laura Lynn Taylor and Emily Claire Taylor, both of Plaquemine.

Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Y. Adams; one grandchild, Joseph Gerard Adams IV; her parents: Foster Vaugh Mixon, Sr. and Myrtle Nezat Mixon; three sisters; Gladys Ryder, Sharon Carline, and Dolores Comeaux; and one brother, Foster Vaugh Mixon, Jr.
