Judie Schexneider

Port Barre– A Funeral Service will be held for Mrs. Judie Schexneider on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Port Barre. Fr. Clint Trahan will conduct the service. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Leo Cemetery in Leonville.

Judie, age 63, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Judie enjoyed drawing and creating works of art. She also enjoyed dancing and singing along to a good tune. Judie was a dedicated employee for 43 years at Savoies. Judie will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

Judie is survived by her husband of 47 years, Russell Schexneider; son, Chris Schexneider and wife, Jamie; daughter, Rebecca Lewis and husband, Eric; sister, Linda Bellard; 10 grandchildren, Christopher “Bugaloo”, Tristin, Macie, Grant, Michaela, Malaya, Michael “Hubba Bubba”, Nick, Johnathan “Jon-Man” and Gavin; and 9 great-grandchildren, Camden, Croy, Stella, Easton, Emersyn, Camelia, Paisleigh, Brileigh and Saylor.

Judie is preceded in death by her parents, Lester Richard, Sr. and Mary Noel Richard; and her brother, Lester Richard, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 7, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre. The rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Michael “Hubba Bubba” Casse, Grant Schexneider, Christopher “Bugaloo” Schexneider, Eric Lewis, Nick Lewis and Jonathan “Jon-Man” Lewis.
