Juanita S. Quebedeaux
Port Barre Funeral services for Mrs. Juanita S. Quebedeaux, age 82, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2008, with a Mass of Christian Burial in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre, followed by interment in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Barre. The Reverend Nicky Trahan will celebrate the Mass.
Mrs. Quebedeaux was born in Caplen, Tx and was a life-long resident of Port Barre. She passed away at 2:00 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2008, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Lafayette.
Mrs. Quebedeaux managed and owned the Frisco Caf and was best known for her Hot Tamales and loved to dance. She is going to be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her sons: Ambrose Quebedeaux, Jr. and wife Debbie of Oceanside, CA; John Wayne Quebedeaux and wife Traci of Lafayette; daughter, Eleanor A. Nezat of Port Barre; brothers: Dario Silva of Beaumont, TX, Joe Silva of Galveston, TX; sister, Rosa Johnson of Port Bolivar, TX; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceeded in death by her husband: Ambrose Quebedeaux, Sr; parents: Jesus Rodriques and Eudocia Garcia Silva; sisters: Mary DaFonte, Katherine Lavergne, Josephine Guidroz; brothers: Rudolph Silva and Ernest Silva.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre on Wednesday, June 4, 2008, from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. On Thursday, visitation will continue from 8 a.m. until the time of services.
The rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the Funeral Home.
