Joyce Lahaye

Port Barre A funeral service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre, LA, for Joyce LaHaye. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Barre. Rev. Father Daniel Picard will officate the service.

Joyce was a native of Ville Plate and a long time resident of Port Barre. She passed away at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, on March 26, 2013.

Survivors include her sons, James Lou LaHaye of Port Barre, and Ovide Roy Bay LaHaye and wife, Victoria of Baton Rouge, one grandson, U.S. Air Force Col. Dwayne Apisa LaHaye and wife, Kathy of Stuttgart Germany, three great grandchildren, Roman, Isabella, and Gavin LaHaye.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Onezime LaHaye, her parents, Lee and Eza Fontenot, brothers, Howard, Gerald and Snady Fontenot, sister, Maude Ardoin.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre on Friday, March 29, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. until time of service. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday in the funeral home.
