Joyce Corley

Port Barre Funeral services for Joyce Belfour Corley, age 92, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, with a Mass of Christian Burial in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice. Father Daniel Picard will celebrate the Mass.
She was a native of Chatagnier and a longtime resident of Port Barre. She died on Sunday, February 12, 2012, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home of Opelousas. She was a homemaker who loved to sew, cook, and bake. She was also the owner and operator of Shalimar Motel in Baton Rouge for many years. She was loved by her family and friends and will be missed by all.
Survivors include her cousins, John Fontenot and wife, Barbara of Port Barre Raella Fuselier of Ville Platte Jane Fontenot and husband, Billie of Grand Prairie Jody Fontenot and wife, Hope of Port Barre Jaime Kaiser and husband, Billy of Krotz Springs Linda Ardoin and husband, Kent of Ville Platte Lana Compton of Bayou Chicot and Shane Fuselier and wife, Janet of Baton Rouge. She is also survived by her godchildren, Ferrol Fuselier and wife, Esperanza of Baton Rouge and Karen Fuselier Nelson and husband, Jeremy of Plano, TX.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ralph Corley and her parents Alfred and Anita Manuel Belfour.
A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 am in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am.
