Joseph Dennis Meathead Stoute

Port Barre Funeral services for Joseph Dennis Stoute, 55, will be held at 11:00AM Friday January 26, 2007, in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Port Barre.

Reverend Nicky Trahan will conduct the services.

Mr. Stoute, a native and resident of Port Barre, died at 8:27AM Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at Opelousas General Health System.

Joseph was a devoted son, father, grandfather, and brother who adored spending time with his family and friends. He loved spending time at the camp, hunting, and fishing. One of his favorite pastimes was walking outdoors and talking to God.

Survivors include: Mother, Bertha Artigue Stoute; son, Kenneth Stoute and wife Melissa of Opelousas; two daughters, Amy Lynn Myers and husband Russell and Rachel Agnes Landry and husband Burris B.J. all of Maringouin; four brothers, Jessie Stoute, Jr. and wife Marie of Baker, Mike Stoute and wife Nora of Port Barre, Todd Stoute and wife Monica of Opelousas, and Eric Stoute of Port Barre; a sister, Velma Leger and husband Michael of Leonville; three very good friends, Linda, Sue and Daniel; seven grandchildren, Abbie, Jared and Cierra Stoute, Kayla, Ainsley, and Christian Myers and Megan Landry.

Mr. Stoute was preceded in death by his father, Joseph J. Stoute; step father, Ray Stoute and an infant grandchild.

Visiting hours will be observed on Friday January 26, 2007 from 9:30AM until service time. A rosary will be recited during the visitation.
