Joseph Robin, Sr.

Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at St. Landry Catholic Church for Mr. Joseph James Robin, Sr., age 67. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the Bellevue Cemetery. Rev. Father James Brady will celebrate the Mass.
James was born in Anahuac, TX, and longtime resident of Opelousas, LA. He passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 27, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
James was a great family man. He loved cooking and spending time with his family and his many friends. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Judy B. Robin of Opelousas daughters, Debra Trahan of Leonville Dianna Carnley and husband, Mike of Gulf Shores, AL and Marla Charlie and husband, Scott of Scott one sister, Sylvia Savoie and husband, Ray of Opelousas nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Uyless and Odile Aymond Robin one son, Joseph J. Robin, Jr. and two grandchildren, Braden Charlie and Anna Trahan.
Pallbearers will be Robert Bergeron, Scott Charlie, Austin Carnley, William Belcher, Jody Carnley, and John Bernard.
Honorary pallbearer will be David Crozier.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Monday, July 29, 2013, from 3 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. On Tuesday, visitation will continue from 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening in the funeral home.
