Joseph Lejeune

Opelousas-A memorial service for Joseph P. LeJeune, Sr. will be at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Krotz Springs on Monday, January 12, 2015. Private interment will be at later date.

Joseph was a resident of Tri Community Nursing Home where he passed away, on Thursday, January 8, 2014, at the age of 71.

Survivors include his children, Joseph P. LeJeune, Jr. and wife, Misty of Krotz Springs, Melissa Payton and husband, Stephen of Central, LA., Melinda Pointer and husband, Jamie of Mansura, LA., Melania Callier and husband, Owen of Port Barre, and Ashley LeJeune of Church Point, sisters, Viola Pickett of Lawtell and Ella Mae Doiga of Lawtell, eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucious and Emma Bonne LeJeune, sisters, Rena Stelly, Lula Mae LeJeune, bothers, Kercy LeJeune, Jeffery LeJeune, Louis LeJeune and James LeJeune.

A visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church in Krotz Springs.
