Joseph Stelly

Opelousas- A funeral service will be held for Joseph Norvan Stelly at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2016, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Barre. Rev. Benny Reppond will officiate the Service.

Norvan was a resident of Opelousas. He passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at his home, at the age of 78. He enjoyed wood working and Antiques.

Survivors include wife, Janice Stelly of Opelousas, brother, Donald Stelly and his wife, Velma of Krotz Springs, sisters, Verna Lanclos, of Port Barre, Ethaline Calloway, Crowley, Marylace Thomassee, of Opelousas, and Patricia Thomassee and her husband, Floyd of Fordouche, one sister in law, Ruth Stelly of Port Barre, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, three step grandchildren, eight step grandchildren, step daughter, Shelly Fitzgerald and her husband Eddie.

He was preceded in death by parents, Nolty and Theresa Lalonde Stelly, two sons, Rodie and Orlan Stelly, brothers, Terry Stelly, Jesse Stelly, sisters, Velma Stoute, 1st wife mother of his children, Verna Bazar Stelly.

The visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Thursday at 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
