Opelousas Funeral Services Joseph Leger, Jr., age 63, will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Myrtle Grove Cemetery in Opelousas. Fr. Austin Leger will officiate the service.
Joseph was a native of Prairie Ronde resident of Opelousas, he passed away at Senior Village Nursing Home in Opelousas, on January 13, 2011. Joseph was employed at Standard Fittings for years as a Pipe Fifter.

Survivors include his son Robert Leger, of Lafayette, sister Anna Bell Venable, and husband, Felton of Church Point, special nephew Clayton C.J. Leger of Port Barre, nieces Tina Clardy and husband, Kenneth of Port Barre, Pamela Leger of Colorado, Erica Lynn Leger of Port Barre, special cousin Juanita Fontenot husband, Michael of Opelousas.
Preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Anita Benoit Leger, Sr., brother Allen Leger
and his wife, Sandra Hollier Leger.
The family has requested that the visitation be held on Friday, January 14, 2011 from 3:00 pm 9:00 pm and will reopen on Saturday Morning at 8:00 am until time of service at 1:30pm.
A rosary service will be at 7 PM on Friday evening in the funeral home.
