Port Barre Funeral services for Joseph Elie Lalonde, 64, will be held at 2:00p.m. on Friday, June 29, 2007, in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Barre, followed by interment in the Sacred Heart Church Cemetery.

The Reverend Nicky Trahan will officiate the services.

Joseph Elie Lalonde was a native and resident of Port Barre. He died at 7:40 a.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2007 at his residence.

Survivors include: a son, Lennis T-Boy Lalond and a daughter, JoAnna Lalonde and husband John, all of Port Barre; 4 step children, Priscilla Soileau of Port Barre, Francis Trahan and husband Bryan of Crowley, Marie Martin and husband Butch of Gonzales and Wilbert Wheaton and wife Carrolyn of Port Barre, LA; two sisters, Bernice Lalonde Barron and Eula Lalonde Campbell both of Port Barre; four grandchildren, Betty Ann Lalonde, Kelsey D. Haffort, Alexis L. Hafford, and Rose A. Miller; two step grandsons, Rober Wheaton and Chance Rudolph; one great granddaughter, Khloe Lynn Matte; numerous nieces and nephews and a special friend Susan Miller, good friends, Karleen Kerry, Elaine Campbell, and Bridgette Quebedeaux.

Mr. Lalonde was preceded in death by his parents Elie and Buelah Marks Lalonde; borthers, Ingance Lalonde, Carrol Doo Lalonde; stepson Joseph L. Wheaton and granddaughter, Shannon D. Campbell; 2 wives, Ethel Mouille and Sandra J. Lalonde; companion, Marie Carriere and a favorite Uncle Black Lalonde.

Pallbearers will be Lance Campbell, Robert Campbell, Raymond Himchee, Nicolas Comeau, Chance Rudolph and Bryan Trahar; honorary pallbearers will be Lennis T-Boy Lalonde and Wilbert Wheaton.

Visiting hours will be observed on Thursday, June 28, 2007 from 4:00pm until service time in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre.

A rosary service will be held at 7:00p.m. on Thursday.
