OPELOUSAS-A Funeral Service for Joseph Willie Jeffers, age 59, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2015, in Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Fth. Austin Leger will conduct the Service.

Willie passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2015, at Lafayette General Hospital. He enjoyed working outdoors, helping others in need, and spending time with his family and friends.
Willie is survived by mother, Dulcie Lejeune Jeffers of Opelousas, mother of his children, Paula Jeffers of Opelousas, and his long time companion, Barbara Fontenot of Opelousas, son, Blaine Matthew Jeffers of Arnaudville, daughters, Alisha Jeffers of Lafayette, Lana Jeffers of Arnaudville, and Leah Jeffers of Arnaudville, brothers Ray Jeffers of Krotz Springs, Wayne Jeffers of Opelousas, Randy Jeffers of Leonville, and Michael Jeffers of Sunset, sisters, Linda Janise of Sunset and Marla Hargroder of Opelousas, and two grandchildren, Austin and Alessa Greer.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph CL Jeffers.
The family requested visiting hours on Thursday, December 3, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. A Rosary Service will begin at 12:30 p.m.
