Joseph Etienne

Grand Coteau-A Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph Wilbert "Brother" Etienne will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2015, in St. Charles Catholic Church. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the St. Charles Cemetery, with Fr. Nathan O'Halloran, S.J. as the celebrant.

Mr. Joseph a resident at Senior Village Nursing Home, he died on Monday, February 16, 2015, at the age of 70. He enjoyed singing, playing the drums, guitar, carpentering and being with his family and friends. Joseph worked at Evangeline Maid Bakery in Lafayette for 28 years.

Survivors include his children, Francis "Dale" Etienne (Mary Ethel) of Church Point, Donald "Chip" Etienne (Tiffany) of Bellevue, LA., and Joanne "Neicey" Francis (Jimmy) of Cankton, his sisters, Helen Johnson (Jessie) of Opelousas, Syble Etienne of Sunset, and Mary Jo Anne Julien of Sunset, eight grandchildren, and a host of nieces , nephew and God Children.

Preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Lillian (Clark) Etienne, his wife, Santa (Cynthia) Etienne, his brother, John Charles Etienne.

Visiting hours will be held in the Sibille Funeral Home of Grand Coteau on Saturday, February 21, 2015, from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 10:00 a.m.
