Joseph Castille

OpelousasA Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph Abram Castille will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2014, in the Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic, Fr. Austin Leger will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.
Joseph was a resident of Opelousas. He passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at Senior Village Nursing Home at the age of 68. Abram was a butcher at AP Super Market. He was a life time volunteer of Hope Hook Ladder Company 1 He was a member of the St. Landry Parish Sheriff Department 300 Club. He loved to dance, listen to swamp pop music and play poker with his friends. He raised quarter horse and raced them. He enjoyed being with his family and friends as much as possible. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his Wife, Delores Lanclos Castille of Opelousas, Son, Chad Anthony Castille, and wife, Cynthia of Opelousas, daughter, Angelique Angel Castille and husband, Steven Tromblay of Opelousas, brother, Richard Castille and his wife, Jessica of Eunice, sisters, Margie Thibodeaux of Eunice, Mary Matte and husband, Jimmie of Richard, Florence Matte and husband, Wayne of Welsh, Cathy Lejeune and husband Asa of Welche, grandchildren, Lindsay Castille, Taylor Castille, Madison Castille, Alix Tromblay and Emily Tromblay.

He was preceded in death by parents, John and Alzina Bourque Castille, brothers, Hebert Castille, and Calvin Castille, sister, Helen Richard.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. On Thursday, the funeral home will reopen at 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
A Rosary service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday evening in the funeral home.
