Joseph Harris Aymond, Sr.

Port Barre- Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Harris Aymond, Sr., will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 27, 2009, with a Mass of Christian Burial in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville, La. Fr. Nicky Trahan will celebrate the Mass.

Mr. Aymond was a native of Arnaudville and a resident of Port Barre. He died on Thursday, April 23, 2009, at Opelousas General Health Systems. Mr. Aymond was a truck driver and also worked in the oilfield as a roughneck. Mr. Aymond loved his family and friends and is going to be missed by all.

Harris is survived by his former wife, Pricilla Stoute Aymond; sons, Carlus James Aymond and wife Judy of Port Barre, Joseph Harris Aymond, Jr of Port Barre; brother, Emile Aymond, Jr. of Port Barre; and 4 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death his parents, Joseph Emile and Emaline Quebedeaux Aymond, Sr.; grandchild, Connor Aymond; brothers, Carroll Aymond and Andrew Aymond.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre on Sunday, April 26, 2009 from 9: a.m. until the time of services on Monday.

A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday evening in the funeral home.
