Jonathon Hegwoood

Opelousas Memorial services for Mr. Jonathon Chance Hegwood, age 30, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 22, 2011, at Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery in Lewisburg.
Chance was a native and a longtime resident of Opelousas. He died on Thursday, July 14, 2011, at his residence. He was currently employed with Hercules Transport Service and has been a truck driver for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Tara LaFleur Hegwood of Opelousas maternal grandmother, Pansy Richard Savoie of Opelousas godfather, Dwayne Savoie and wife, JoAnn of Opelousas uncle, Troy Savoie of Opelousas godmother, Diane Miller of Sunset motherinlaw, Cynthia Leger and husband, Martin Sonny Leger of Leonville cousins, Dane Savoie of Texas Brian Miller and Joey Miller of Sunset best friends, Charles TBoy Doucet of Church Point and Owen Henry of Port Barre brothersinlaw, Shane LeFleur of Leonville Travis LaFleur of Sunset and Joey LaFleur of North Carolina and numerous friends, family, and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Savoie Soileau sister, Whitney Hegwood and maternal grandfather, John Charles J.C. Savoie.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, July 22, 2011, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
