Opelousas Funeral services for Mr. Jonathan Wayne Thibodeaux, known to many as Buff, age 34, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on for Tuesday, May 4, 2010, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Private Interment will follow at a later date.
Father Paul Bienvenu will officiate the services.
Jonathan was a native and lifelong resident of Opelousas. He died on Sunday, May 2, 2010, at his residence. He was an electrician for 8 years and has been employed with Dupres Electrical Service for the past 6 years. He was a loving husband and a devoted father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife of 9 years, Amanda Mandy Bartlett Thibodeaux three sons: Tristan Bartlett, Gage Thibodeaux, and Landon Thibodeaux his parents: Joseph Joe Thibodeaux, Sr. and Gayle Thibodeaux motherinlaw, Nora Stoute Bartlett brother, Joseph Tuddy Thibodeaux, Jr. and wife, Christy sister, Jami Dupre and husband, Chad all of Opelousas grandmothers: Rena Woodson of Opelousas and Lou Thibodeaux of Baton Rouge brotherinlaw, James Bartlett of Opelousas two sistersinlaw: Penny Foy and husband, Timothy of Church Road,Virginia and Tammy Stoute and husband, Robert of Opelousas and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Chad Dupre, Joe Thibodeaux, Wade Thibodeaux, James Thibodeaux, Troy Thibodeaux, and Kevin Latiolais.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Monday, May 3, 2010, from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. On Tuesday, visitation will continue in the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening in the funeral home.
