John Stephen

Opelousas- A Funeral Service will be held for, Mr. John "Johnny" Stephen, on Saturday, May 26,2018 at 4:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas; with visitation starting at 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Conducting the service will be Pastor Chad Thibodeaux of The Baptist Church in Vatican, LA. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington, LA.

Johnny, age 64, a resident of Arnaudville, passed away on Monday, May 21, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Growing up Johnny was a member of the Eagles Scouts. He was a dedicated member of The Vatican Baptist Church. Johnny enjoyed bowling and painting. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Hardke Stephen of Arnaudville; father, Joseph Clarence Stephen, Sr. of Opelousas; sons, Scott Patrick Stephen and wife, Mariana of Norfolk, VA, Brett Nicholas Stephen and wife, Bridgett of Friendswood, TX, and Glenn Thomas Stephen of Opelousas; brothers, Joseph "Sonny" Stephen, Jr. and wife, Babette of Opelousas and Joseph Eugene Stephen of Opelousas; sisters, Carol Ann Stephen of Opelousas, Connie Marie Marks and husband, Johnny of Opelousas, and Paula Kaye Pierottie and husband, Gregg of Lafayette; six grandchildren, Kalyn Stephen, Alaina Stephen, Malora Stephen, Allison Stephen, Carson Stephen and Emery Stephen; and his former wife, Susan Hotard of Lafayette.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Marie Robin Stephen.
