John Moreaux

Opelousas-Services for John Moreaux , age 69 will be at 11: 00 a.m. on Friday, December 11, 2009, in the Sibille Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the New Sacred Heart Cemetery in Church Point.

John was a long time resident of Opelousas. He died on December 8, 2009, at his home. He was a meat Inspector with La. Dept of Agriculture, for many years. He was currently retired. He was a creature of habit. He enjoyed going to the Donut King Pastry Shop every morning to meet friends and have conversation with all the people who came there. He enjoyed cooking for his friends and family. He had a very easy disposition and loved everyone, both his family members and Ms. Elsies family.

Survivors include his long time companion , Elsie Pitre, of Opelousas, two sons: Bruce Moreaux of Rayne, LA, and Shane Moreaux and wife Gina of Rayne, La, two brothers; Alvin Moreaux and wife Lee Verdie of, Thibodeaux, and Carol Moreaux and wife Carol Sue, of Houston, TX., one sister; Betty Savoie and husband Roland, of Cankton, LA, one grandchild; Luke Moreaux.

Preceded in death by his parents: Foston and Aline Latiolais Moreaux.

A Rosary service will be a 7:00 p.m. on Thursday night.
