John Lanclos

Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 26, 2014, at St. Bridget Catholic Church, for John Irving Lanclos, age 79 who passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Opelousas General Health System. Rite of Committal and interment followed in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery. Father Ted Broussard will celebrate the Service.

John was a resident of Opelousas. He loved dancing, fishing, hunting and all outdoors actives.

Survivors include his loving wife, Mrs. Marie Richard Lanclos of Opelousas, son, Daniel Lanclos and his wife, Debra of Cleveland, TN., daughters, Mona Ewing and her husband, Mitch, Sr. of Lawtell and Pamela Keith and her husband, Joe of Opelousas, brother, Orest Lanclos and his wife, Jeniet of Waskom, TX. eight grand children and ten great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by parents, Elie and Angeline Noel Lanclos, son, Darrell Lanclos, daughter Debra Lanclos.


Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Thursday, September 24, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. until 9.00 p.m. and will reopen on Friday at 8:00 a.m. until time of Service. A Rosary Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
