John Randy Hilliard

Opelousas Funeral services for Mr. John Randy Hilliard, 57, were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 17, 2008, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery, Opelousas, LA.

Rev. Perry Hubbs conducted the services.

Mr. Hilliard passed away on Friday, March 14, 2008 at 12:27 a.m at Doctor's Hospital in Opelousas.

Randy was born in Opelousas and lived all his life here. He graduated from T.H. Harris Technical College with a Electrical Engineer Certificate, worked offshore as a Crane operator for Loffand Bros. Oil Field Drilling Co. until his retirement and was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Randy will be sadly missed by his family, friends and those who knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy McBride Hilliard of Broussard, La; daughters, Mrs. Allison Menard and husband Mark of Opelousas, Mrs. Monique Bowling Boudreaux and husband Brock of Baton Rouge, La; brothers, David Hilliard and wife Susie of Albuquerque, NM, Clifford Johnny Hilliard, Jr and wife Vickie of Albuquerque, NM, Chris Sonnier and wife Charlene of Opelousas; sisters, Phyllis Budd and husband Foster of Opelousas, Catherine Nepveaux and husband Gene of Opelousas, Brenda Woods and husband John of Leonville, Faith Tejera and husband Enrique of San Diego, Ca, Carol Arnaud and husband Ricky of Washington; grandchildren, Sadie Bowling, Tristen Villermin, Mallory Menard, Madison Menard, Justin Villermin, Markie Ann Menard.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents: Clifford J. and Leola Stelly Hilliard, Sr. and a sister Dorothy Martinez.

Visiting hours were observed on Saturday, March 15, 2008 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m; Sunday, March 16, 2008 from 8:00 a.m until 9:00 p.m and then on Monday, March 17, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
