John Gillen

Port Barre A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 18, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre, for Kenny Gillen, age 60. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Father Daniel Picard will celebrate the Mass.
Kenny was employed Nicholls Construction for 18 years and then Peoples Moss Gin for 20 years. He was a member of K.C. of Port Barre Council and the Teamster Union. Kenny enjoyed riding horses and hunting, he was post President of Stump Lake Hunting Club. He was a wonderful husband, father, and friend who will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Rosetta McGee Gillen of Port Barre, sons, Carlos McGee wife, Jodi of Lake Charles, John Gillen wife, Kelly of Port Barre, Seth Gillen wife, Elizabeth of Port Barre, daughters, Vikki McGee fiance Sonny Campell of Jonesboro Arkansas, Angie Deville husband, Carl of Port Barre, brothers, Bill Gillen of St Francisville, Danny Gillen of Baton Rouge, sister, Linda Duczer of Baton Rouge, seventeen grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John W. and Mabel Pauline Jacob Gillen.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2012, from 4 pm to 10 pm in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre. On Friday, visitation will continue from 8 am until 10:30 am in the funeral home.
A Rosary service will be held at 7 pm on Thursday evening in the funeral home.
