John Doucet Ii

Lafayette- A Celebration of Life Service will be held for, John Allen Doucet II, on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Landmark Church in Lafayette; with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the church. Pastor Rick Langford will conduct the service.

John, age 41, a resident of Lafayette, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018, at Lafayette General Medical Center with his family by his side.

John loved his family deeply and enjoyed spending time with them; especially with his niece, Corinne and sister, Jaide. He enjoyed acting and appeared in a handful of movies such as the remake of, Magnificent Seven. John renewed his love for the Lord and was an avid church goer. He has now found peace with the Lord and been happily reunited with his dad. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his mother, Peggy Doucet; maternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Freida and Henry Bevers; paternal grandmother, Evelyn Doucet; brother, Troy Jonathon Doucet and wife, Jenelle; niece, Corinne Doucet; sister; Jaide Parker; aunts; Cheryl Miller, Karen Domingeaux, Christine Watts, Mary Jane Scott, Terry Grimsley and Sarah Habetz; uncles, Mike Doucet and Jimmy Doucet; and a host of cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father, John Allen Doucet; maternal grandfather; Elroy Louis Miller, Sr.; paternal grandfather, Gilton Gregory Doucet; uncles, Goldman Miller and Elroy Miller, Jr.; and aunt, Cynthia Rose Miller.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to offset the cost of funeral expenses (monetary donations may be made to Peggy or Troy Doucet and mailed to Sibille Funeral Home, 2309 George Dr, Opelousas, LA 70570).
