Nathan Castille was the best husband, dad, and grandfather. He was always there for us anytime we ever needed, being much more comfortable with giving than receiving. He passed away at home on February 11, 2016. His quiet support and presence have been such staples in our lives that we cannot grasp just how much he will be missed.
After retiring at 49 from DOTD with 30 years of service, he began spending much time at his camp with his wife Bette. He has enjoyed fishing, shrimping, hunting, playing cards and training his black labs. He loved to tell jokes, often laughing the hardest. He was happiest just being around people, especially his family.
He is survived by his son, Jeff Castille; daughter, Peggy (James) Daniel; grandchildren, Steve, Leighanne, and Meagan Daniel; wonderful neighbors and lifelong friends, Gloria and Lester Lalonde; and 2 mourning cats, Brother and Sis.
Heaven's welcoming committee includes his wife of 58 years, Bette; sons, Gary and Gerard Castille; parents, Allen and Arthemese Castille; sister, Priscilla Castille.
Unending gratitude goes to his amazing caregivers, Cindy and Shirley and to Heart of Hospice.
The family requested visiting hours on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. A Rosary Service will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m.
