John Cady

Grand Coteau- A funeral service for John Cady will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016, at 2:00 p.m., in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Rite of Committal and interment will be at a later date.

John passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016, at Opelousas General Health System, at the age of 64. John worshiped his family, especially his granddaughters, Taylor and Brooklyn. He owned and operated West Side Auto located in Sunset. John was an avid story teller, loved cooking, had a special place in his heart for animals, and sharing his mechanical knowledge. He spent 43 years as a volunteer fireman and was also a reserve police officer.

John is survived by his loving wife, Linda "Sue" Fruge Cady of Sunset, son, Kevin Joseph Cady of Sunset, siblings, Joe Theriot, Lena Theriot LeBlanc, and Linda Theriot Huval all of Breaux Bridge, grandchildren, Taylor Alexis Cady and Brooklyn Grace Cady both of Sunset.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Leonce and Louise Faul Cady, and his son, Ryan Phillip Cady.

Visiting hours will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2016. A Rosary service will also be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Visitation will continue Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Grand Coteau.
