Opelousas-Funeral services for Mr. John Warren Beaugh, Sr. will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2015, in Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas.
Warren was a native of Ville Platte and a longtime resident of Opelousas. He died on Monday, March 23, 2015, at his home at the age of 77.
He was a County Agent for St. Landry Parish with LSU AgCenter for many years until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of the LA Cattlemen's Association. He enjoyed raising cattle, showing livestock, agriculture, horticulture and aquaculture, and working with farmers. He received LSU Extension Service 4-H achievement awards. Numerous family achievements were showing livestock and steers, family raising LA Bred Steers, and helping 4-Hers in several parishes.
His second career was a Realtor with Century 21. He was a member of Our Savior's Church of Opelousas.
Survivors include his three sons, John W. Beaugh, Jr. , Daniel Beaugh, and David Beaugh, all of Opelousas; two daughters, Sandra Beaugh of Church Point; and Stephanie Theriot of Carencro; one sister, Merlene Soileau of Ville Platte; 15 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Beaugh and Eola Vidrine Beaugh.
Visiting hours will be held in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Thursday, March 26, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
