Opelousas-Funeral services for Mrs. JoAnn Richard Deville, age 58, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2008, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park of Opelousas. Father Angelo Cremaldi will conduct the service.

Mrs. Deville was born in Church Point and was a resident of Opelousas. She passed away at 9:05 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, 2008, at her residence. She was a dental assistant for over 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and doing her yard work. She was a devoted wife and a loving friend who will be sadly missed.

Survivors include her husband, Randy Deville of Opelousas; her parents: Joseph H. Richard and Jane McBride Richard of Lewisburg; one stepdaughter, Trisha Deville of Pineville; three brothers: Joseph Jerome Joe Richard and wife, Sally of Richard; John G. Richard of Opelousas; and Paul O. Richard and fianc, Angela Thibodeaux of Prairie Ronde; three sisters: Henrietta Aymond and husband, Jim of Opelousas; Loretta R. Brown and husband, Keith of Opelousas; and Cathy R. Thibodeaux and husband, John of Lewisburg; mother-in-law, Elaine Deville of Pineville; and sister-in-law, Chalayne Deville of Pineville; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. She had some special friends, Dr. and Mrs. David O. Couvillon and Susie Gibbs.

Preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Aristille Richard and Delia Thibodeaux Richard; and maternal grandparents: Zannie McBride and Antoinette Arnaud McBride.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of 0pelousas on Wednesday, July 16, 2008, from 12:00 p.m. noon until 1:30 p.m.

A Rosary service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home.
