Jimmie Duplechain

Opelousas A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2013, in Sibille Funeral Home Chapel for, Jimmie Joseph Duplechain.

Jimmie passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at the Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette, at the age of 62. Jimmie enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, most of all watching his grandkids play ball and being with his family. He was a great husband, father, grandfather. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He lived a honorable life and loved the lord. He was a Electrician by trade.

Jimmie is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Mrs. Rose Thibodeaux Duplechain of Duson, son, Jimmy Brian Duplechain and wife, Karla of Lafayette, daughter, Alida Kaye Johnson and husband, Jonathan of Youngsville, brothers, Lenus Fred and Charles Greig Duplechain of Port Barre, sisters, Burnella Lynn Jeffers of Port Barre, and Beverly Baldridge of Lafayette, four grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lenus and Helen Evans Duplechain, and one brother, Wilbur Duplechain.

Visiting hours will be observed in Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Saturday, December 28, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
