Jill Lanclos

Opelousas-A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 9, 2016, at St. Landry Catholic Church for Jill Lanclos. Fr. Jim Brady will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Barre.
Jill was a lifelong resident of Port Barre, Louisiana. She died on Friday, October 7, 2016, at Opelousas General Health System surrounded by her family at the age of 52. She was an office clerk at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center. She enjoyed making crafts, traveling, and being with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Jill is survived by her mother, Bertha Bennett Lanclos; brother, Collins Lanclos, Jr. and wife, Connie; and sister, Jennifer "Jennie" Savoie all of Port Barre, her nephews, Brent Lanclos and wife, Damara; and Troy Lanclos and his wife, Hope; and nieces, Shelbie Savoie and Paige Savoie.
She was preceded in death by her father, Collins Lanclos, Sr., one sister, Janet Aline Lanclos; and two brothers, Mitchell Lee Lanclos and Bradley A. Lanclos.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas. A Rosary service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home.
