Jeri Pulford Andrus
Opelousas Funeral services for Mrs. Jeri Pulford Andrus, known to many as Mrs. Grady Andrus, 94, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Holy Sepulcher Mausoleum.
Father Angelo Cremaldi will officiate at the services.
Ms. Andrus, a lifetime resident of Opelousas, died on Sunday morning, August 10, 2008. She was an avid gardener, particularly flowers, and formerly was active in service organizations the Gray Ladies, Lifes Champions, etc.. She was also a Red Cross volunteer in the late 1960s.
She lived independently after her husbands death, as she wished and enjoyed a long life. She died peacefully.
Survivors include a son, George Larry Andrus and a daughter from her husband, Gradys previous marriage, Annabelle Mansfield. Also four grandchildren: Michael, Dennis, and Craig Mansfield, and Lori Mansfield Fisher; six great grandchildren and one great, great, grandchild.
Ms. Andrus was preceded in death by her parents: George Christmas Pulford and Elise Chachere; brother, Murphy J. Pulford, two sisters: Mae Pulford and Louise Plauche; her husband, Grady Andrus; and her daughter, Jerilyn Elise Shamroy, died in March 2008.
Visiting hours will be observed on Tuesday, August 12, 2008, from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Wednesday, visitation will continue from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
A Rosary service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening in the funeral home.
