Jeremiah "Dolly" Naquin, born on July 22, 1935, in the serene town of Bayou Rouge, embarked on his final journey on April 19, 2024, surrounded by the very essence of his happiest memories - picking blackberries near the Atchafalaya River.
Dolly was a man of simple pleasures and profound love for his family. He was known for bringing boundless joy to his grandkids by taking them on countless adventures to the Atchafalaya River. Those cherished moments spent picking blackberries together will forever be etched in their hearts.
A true outdoorsman at heart, Dolly found solace in the gentle embrace of nature. Fishing was not merely a pastime for him but a way of connecting with the world around him. Riding around the countryside and spending time by the river, reminiscing about days gone by, brought him immense contentment.
Jeremiah is survived by his sons, Jerry (CoCo) Naquin and wife Brenda of St. Francisville, LA, and Ricky Naquin and wife Sharon of Oscar, LA; three grandchildren, Amanda Naquin of Zachary, LA, Jerith Naquin and wife Hilary of St. Francisville, LA, and Dillion Naquin and wife Madeline of Glynn, LA; seven great-grandchildren, Blaire and Judson White, Jarren and Maya Naquin, Valerie, Vivian and Vada Naquin.
