Jeramie Vicknair

Grand Coteau Funeral Services will be private for Mr. Jeramie Jamie Vicknair, known to many as Gravedigger or Radio.

Jeramie was a native of Opelousas and a resident of Carencro. He passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2012, in Coteau Holmes, at the age of 33. He was employed with BBs Mobile Home Moving Company. As a pastime, he enjoyed being outdoors working in his yard with the flower beds and fishing. He was a wonderful, loving, and caring husband, father, son, brother, godfather, uncle, and friend. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife of 9 years, April Marie Guillory Vicknair of Carencro one son, Kayman John Guillory of Carencro his mother, Josephine Allemond of Arnaudville his father, Donald Vicknair, Sr. of Henderson fatherinlaw and motherinlaw, Dwight Guillory, Sr. and Jennifer Guillory of Vatican paternal grandmother, Rose Amae Vicknair of Henderson one brother, Kent Allemond and wife, Mary of Breaux Bridge one halfbrother, Donald Vicknair, Jr. of Opelousas three sisters, Jennifer Henry and husband, Albert Henry, Jr. of Arnaudville Diana Vicknair of Arnaudville and Elizabeth Allemond of Arnaudville and one halfsister, Desiree Vicknair of Breaux Bridge. He is also survived by two godchildren, Jaylynn Guillory and Raylon Henry and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Rene Allemond, Sr. and Wilma Allemond paternal grandfather, Leroy Vicknair godmother, Dorothy Quebedeaux and aunt, Emily Bergeron.

Pallbearers will be Dwight Guillory, Sr., Dwight Guillory, Jr., Donnie Guillory, Joseph Henry, Russell Henry, and Eric Knott. Honorary pallbearers will be Kayman Guillory, Raylon Henry, Kent Allemond, Albert Henry, Jr., and Dustin Guillory.

The family has requested the visiting hours will be private in the Sibille Funeral Home of Grand Coteau. A Rosary will be recited in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to help defray the cost of the funeral expenses.
