Jenny Prejean

Opelousas A Memorial Service for Jenny Marceil Prejean, age 59, wife of Kenny Prejean of Lawtell, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at St. Bridget Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the St. Bridget Cemetery in Lawtell.
Jenny was a resident of Lawtell. She passed away on Tuesday May 6, 2014 at 3:36 a.m. at Opelousas General Health System.
Most of you didnt know Jenny was sick, she had COPD and has been home bound for several years. She only told a very few people of her condition because she didnt want a pity party She never had any pain, except for the last 24 hours and died peacefully. She loved to sew, computers, and reading.
Music selection will be provided by Mona Prejean and Kay Prejean.

Survivors include her husband, of 25 years, Kenny Prejean of Lawtell, her son, Jay Prejean of Swords, Kamryn Ducan of Walker, Whitney Wallace, of Carlsbad, N.M. are two special girls who she considered her daughters, niece, Paula Wallace and her husband, Terry of Loving, N.M. nephews, Jimmy Ryan and his wife, Shelly of Carlbad N.M., Danny Ryan, Jr. and his wife, Debra of Nacona, Texas, and Jimmy Hartsell and his wife, Shelly of Rockhill, NC., sister, Connie Hartsell of Rockhill, S.C., 4 step grandchildren, Carson, Tylor PreJean, Sarah McGee, and Abigail Prrjean.

She was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Pauline Ryan, her son, Ty Prejean, brother, Danny Ryan.

Visiting hours will be observed in the St. Bridget Catholic Church on Saturday, May 17, 2014 beginning at 10:30 a.m. with a Mass and interment at 1:00 p.m. celebration of Jennys life. Bring pictures, memorabilia, of your part of Jennys life. At 2:00 p.m. we will return to the Church Hall for food and refreshments.
As most of you know Jenny really didnt care for flowers. Therefore if anyone would like to honor her memory, Im requesting donation be made to St. Bridget Catholic Church, P.O. Box 156, Lawtell, LA 70550 in her name. The church will honor her every Sunday in the bulletin as well as dedicate a Mass to her weekly. If someone desires to send flowers, they must be sent to Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA.
