Jeffery Lanclos

Opelousas– A Funeral Service for Jeffery Lee Lanclos will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Fr. Darren Eldridge will conduct the service. Burial will follow at St. Leo Cemetery in Leonville.

Jeffery, age 71, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Tri Community Nursing Home in Palmetto while surrounded by his family.

Jeffery served his country proudly in the United States Army while stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War Era. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting. Jeffery will be remembered for his love of storytelling and sharing his great big laugh with those around him. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Jeffery is survived by his wife, Mary "Zipper" Nola Hebert Lanclos; daughters, Julie Lanclos Langwell and Kelly Lanclos Barker and husband, GT Bud Barker, Jr.; brother, Randy Lanclos, Sr. and wife, Wanda; 4 grandchildren, Mason and Hugh Langwell, Ryan and Cade Barker; nieces and nephew; Randy Lanclos, Jr., Amanda Lanclos Lee, Miranda Lanclos Landry, Ruby Guillory Broussard and Crystal Guillory.

Jeffery is preceded in death by his parents, Lee Lanclos and Mary Viola Lalonde Lanclos.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas.
