Jeanette Tatman

Opelousas A funeral service for Jeanette Boni Tatman will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 26, 2014, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park. Rev. Msgr. Keith DeRouen will officiate the Service.

Jeanette was a resident of Prompt Succor Nursing Home. She passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2014, surrounded by her family, at the age of 95. She retired from Abdallas Department Store as a clerk. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church, and Bona Fidem Auxillary.

Survivors include her children, Douglas Tatman and his wife, Jo Ann of Mire, LA., Susan Mizzi and her husband, Jimmy of Opelousas, Annette Golz and her husband, Bill of Scottsdale, AZ., her brothers, Jimmy Boni and Frank Boni both of El Centro, CA., grandchildren, Byron Tatman, Nicholas Mizzi, Jeffrey Mizzi, Will Golz and Sonia Guidry, great grandchildren, Reese Mizzi and Haydon Hill, special nephew, Michael Fonger and his wife, Linda of Lake Arthur, LA., along with other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph J. Boni Sr., and Fannie Columbo Boni, sister, Connie Boni Fonger Moore, brothers, Joseph J. Boni, Jr., and Mitchell Boni, and her infant daughter.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Byron, Nicholas, Jeffrey and Will.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Saturday, October 25, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. On Sunday, visitation will continue from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday evening in the Funeral Home.
