Grand Coteau A Mass of Christian Burial for Jeanette D. Payne, age 61, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 28, 2014, in the St. Charles Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the St. Charles Cemetery.
Jeanette was a residence of Sunset. She died on Thursday, February 20, 2014, at her home. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.

Survivors include her children, Frederick Chavis and wife, Erica of Lafayette, Brad Chavis and his girl friend, Angela Scott of Sunset, the father of her children, Anderson Chavis of Beaumont TX., brothers, Nelson Dargin of Sunset, Anderson Dargin, of Lafayette, Rodney Dargin of Houston, TX., and James Dargin of Sunset James is twin brother to Jeanette, sisters, Mageline Dunhon, Mary Ann Duhon, and Renella Simein of Sunset, ten grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Payne, parents, Curley and Catherine Collings Dargin, brothers, Clayton and Philbert Dargin, sister, Myra Colomb.

The family request visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Grand Coteau on Friday, February 28, 2014, beginning at 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:30 a.m.
A rosary service will be prayed on Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home.
