OPELOUSAS- A Private Memorial Service will be held for Janie Prather Tujague at a later date. Pastor Pam Roy will conduct the service. A Private Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas.
Janie, age 73, a resident of Opelousas and native of Washington, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at Opelousas General Health System.
Janie was a dedicated parishioner of the Louisiana Memorial United Methodist Church in Opelousas. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, John Tujague of Opelousas; daughters, Michelle Lindsly and husband, Greg of Opelousas and Stephanie Lafleur and husband, Henry of Spring, TX; sisters, Ora Aline Richey of Mount Vernon, OH and Madeline Coto of Barnwell, SC; 3 grandchildren, Phoebe Lafleur, Zachary Lindsly and Noah Lindsly.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Matthew Paul Prather and Bena Clement Prather; brothers, M.P. Prather and Shelton Prather; sisters, Mary Steinhouse and Norma Savage.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Janie’s memory to the American Cancer Society (American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123) or the American Heart Association (American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692).
