James Stelly

Port Barre Funeral services for Mr. James Roy Stelly, age 63, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2009, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Barre.

Deacon Dwayne Boudreaux will officiate the service.

Mr. Roy was a resident of Port Barre. He died on Monday, March 9, 2009, at his residence.

Surviors include two sisters: Joann Sonnier and husband, Hilbert of Opelousas; and Mary Jane Richard of Arnaudville; special friend who was like a brother, Emery Fontenot and wife, Norma of Leonville; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Cyrus Stelly, Sr. and Florence Cormier Stelly; and three brothers: Cyrus Stelly, Jr., James Chester Stelly, and Frank Stelly.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre on Tuesday, March 10, 2009, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
