James Bobby Quebedeaux
Opelousas Funeral services for Mr. James Bobby Quebedeaux, age 66, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 26, 2012, with a Funeral Service in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery. Father Paul Metrejean will celebrate the funeral service.
Bobby passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at his residence in Gray, La. surrounded by his loving and caring family. Bobbys life began on August 1, 1945 in Lafayette, La. and as he grew he learned the trade of operating cranes and spent 30 years in the oil field industry. After 30 years with Texaco, he retired and then went to work for Steel Services in Houma and Morgan City where he continued his lifes work until three weeks prior to his death. Bobby was a wonderful cook and loved cooking for his family and friends. One of his greatest joys was riding the great grandchildren around in his golf cart. Bobby loved to go to the Casinos in Mississippi with his wonder wife Geri. Bobby was a wonderful and dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather also a special fatherinlaw to both of his sonsinlaws son to Helen and brother to Donald. Bobby is going to be sadly missed by his family and all that knew him.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Geraldine Geri Quebedeaux of Gray, La Mother, Helen Guillory Quebedeaux of Gray, La. daughters, Tina Norman and husband Mike of Gray, La., Lisa Sims and husband Jimmy of Gray, La. Brother, Donald Wayne Quebedeaux and wife Barbara of Gray, La. and brotherinlaw, James Ricky Ortego of Carencro, La. two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Bobby is preceded in death by his father, Wilton Quebedeaux.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 26, 2012, from 8:30 am until service time in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas.
A reflection on the life of Bobby will be held at 2:15 p.m. on Monday, followed by a Rosary service at 2:30 p.m.
