James Robert Lovette, Sr.
Port Barre Funeral services for James Robert Lovette, Sr., age 59, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2006, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Port Barre. Burial will follow in Big Cane Baptist Church Cemetery in Big Cane, LA.
Rev. Joe Russo will conduct the services.
Mr. Lovette was a native of Melville and a resident of Krotz Springs. He died at 4:35 p.m. in the Doctors Hospital of Opelousas. He was a Pipefitter in the oilfield for many years.
Survivors include: his wife, Angela Fontenot Lovette of Krotz Springs; one daughter, Robin Lovette Vidrine of Krotz Springs; three step sons: Kevin Moreau, Jr. and Luke Moreau of Krotz Springs; and Jacob Moreau of Liberty, MS; four step daughters: Candace Moreau of Natchez, MS; Elizabeth Moreau, Angela Moreau, and Leona Moreau, all of Krotz Springs; one step sister, Sheila Boudreaux of Melville; and two grandchildren: Colby Fontenot and Christ Fontenot; and one step grandchild, Sally Walters of Natchez, MS;
Mr. James was preceded in death by one son, James R. Lovette, Jr.; his parents: James Jimmy Lovette and Emily Worley Lovette; two brothers: Lloyd Lovette and Lesslie Lovette; and one sister, Barbara Barker.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre on Tuesday, September 26, 2006, from 4 p.m. with an all night wake until the time of services on Wednesday.
