James LeBlanc, Sr.

Port Barre Funeral services for James LeBlanc, Sr., age 92, will be held in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 11, 2011, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Father Dan Picard, followed by interment in the St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville.
Mr. James was a native of the Coteau Rodaire, LA, area and was a longtime resident of Port Barre. He passed away at his residence on Saturday, November 5, 2011.
Mr. James was employed by Texaco Oil Company, for thirty years. He was in W.W. II Army Air Corp and served as 1st LTNavagatorBombadier. He recently traveled to Washington D.C. with the Louisiana Honor Air Group that honors WWII Vets. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

He is survived by his children James LeBlanc, Jr. of Port Barre, Joy Bollinger and husband, Donald Boysie of New Orleans, Dinah Marie LeBlanc, of New Iberia, and Mary Ellen Matteo and husband, Joe of Chadds Ford, PA., brother Harris LeBlanc of Arnaudville, sister Thelma Dore of St. Martinville, grandchildren Scott and Vickie Texada, Laura and Tommy Bourque, Hunter and Erin Cazes, Deidre and Henry Kimble, Angela and Andre Blanchard, Matthew and Katelyn LeBlanc, Ashley and Jerry Boudreaux. Great grandchildren Madison Kimble, Christopher Bourque, Aubrey Boudreaux, Arden Cazes, and Zayne Blanchard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tilus J. LeBlanc and Ophelia Angelle, and his loving wife, Lurie Willingham LeBlanc.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre on Thursday, November 10, 2011, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will reopen on Friday morning at 9 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.
A Rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday evening in the funeral home.
A Military service will be conducted at graveside on Friday.
