James Guillory

PORT BARREIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of James Jimmy Red Guillory announces his passing on Saturday, June 01, 2013 in the comfort of his home with his loving family by his side at the age of 65. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 04, 2013 at the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Port Barre. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery with Brother Don Deshotel officiating.

James known as Jimmy Red to all who knew him was a Tugboat Captain, Fisherman as well as an auto mechanic. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him especially his wife, Mary Jane Guillory of Port Barre his two sons, Curley Guillory of Port Barre and Cheynne Guillory and wife, Samantha of Lafayette his daughter, Paula Grand of Carencro two brothers, Curtis Neg Guillory of Abbeville and Lynn Bubba of Port Vincent three sisters, Dora Fissette, Marie Guillory, and Dorothy Deshotel all of Port Barre. He was a loving and wonderful grandfather to two grandchildren, Ashley and Parker Grand.

He now rests in Heaven with his beloved parents, Curly and Emily Johnson Guillory a brother, Glenn Paul Martin and a sister, Cynthia Quebedeaux.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Sibille Funeral Home in Port Barre on Monday, June 3rd from 4:00 pm until time of services on Tuesday, June 4th.
