James Fontenot, Jr.

Opelousas - Funeral Services will be held for James “June” Fontenot, Jr. at a later date.

James, was a resident of Melville, entered into eternal rest on May 26, 2023, at the age of 77.  James was a Veteran in the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War.  He will be missed by all his family and friends.

James is survived by his companion, Charmon Cormier of Melville, brother, Racheal Fontenot and his wife, Jennifer of Melville, sister, Rita Fontenot and her husband Gerald of Ville Platte.

James is preceded in death by his parents, James Sr., and Mildred Fontenot, brothers, Paul T. Fontenot and Eldon Fontenot, and one sister, Glenda Fontenot.
