James W. Bill Deshotels

Opelousas Funeral services for James Bill Deshotels, age 80, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 11, 2011 with a service in Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Father Albert Nunez will conduct the Service.
Bill was a native and a resident of Washington. He died on Friday, September 9, 2011 at his home. Bill worked in the Oilfield for over 30 years. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Bill was in the Navy during the Korean War he served 4 years.
Survivors include his children: Nathan Deshotels and his wife Janice of Washington, John Deshotels and his wife Madeline of Prairie Ronde, Charles Deshotels and his wife Shelia of Opelousas, Vicki Hargroder and her husband Randy of Opelousas, and Elaine Tran and her husband Toan of Dallas TX., his brother Lawrence Deshotels Jr., and his wife Margaret of Ark., his sisters Audrey Granger of Washington, LA., and Nona Bergeron and her husband Herman of Rayne, his grandchildren Cody Deshotels, Travis Deshotels, Drew Deshotels, Alex Hargroder, Marci hargroder, Kacey Dupre, Lacey Deshotels, Toni Bardo, Kayla Deshotels, Tyler Deshotels, and Elizabeth Tran.
Preceded in death by his parents: Lawerence and Iola Bordelon Deshotels, his wife Barbara Deshotels, his brother Bobby Deshotels.
A rosary service will be held on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Saturday, September 10, 2011, from 2 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. On Sunday, visitation will continue from 8 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
