Opelousas- A Funeral Service will be held for Isabel McJimsey Gilcrease on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. A Private Inurnment will be held at Bellevue Memorial Park at a later date.

Mrs. Gilcrease, age 91, a resident of Opelousas, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020 at Opelousas General Health System.

Mrs. Gilcrease was born on March 7, 1929 in Marshall, TX. She married Milburn M. Gilcrease on September 21, 1951.  Mrs. Gilcrease was devout in her faith and a dedicated parishioner of Calvary Baptist. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children, Alvin R. Gilcrease and wife, Darla of Cedar Creek, TX, Stephanie Gilcrease of Opelousas, Dwayne Gilcrease and companion, Monika Abshire and her children, Jeff and Alyssa Abshire of Lafayette; daughter-in-law, Allyson Gilcrease of Carencro; grandchildren, Stacy, Alvin, Jr., Heath, Tiffani, Amber, Craig, Hunter, Adeline, Justin, Chris, Isabelle, Tesse and Liam.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Milburn M. Gilcrease; son, Tim Gilcrease; parents, Alvin and Elsie Whitmer McJimsey; brother, Robert L. McJimsey; and infant granddaughter, Angel Gilcrease.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 10, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas. Visitation will resume on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
