Irvin C. Menard

Opelousas Funeral services for Irvin C. Menard, 78, will be held at 11:00AM Saturday January 20, 2007, in Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Opelousas. Interment will follow in the Holy Sepulcher Mausoleum in Opelousas.

Reverend Jefferson DeBlanc will conduct the services.

Irvin C. Menard, a native of Cankton and resident of Opelousas, died at 8:10AM January 18, 2007 at Opelousas General Health System.

Mr. Menard served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include: wife Divine Ledoux Menard of Opelousas; son Kenneth R. Leger, Sr. and wife Leah Graham of Carencro; two daughters, Mellisa Lisa Menard Bastian and husband Hugh of Sunset and Cynthia Leger and husband Harry of Livonia; six grandchildren Kenny, Michael, Duce, Rhonda, Aspen and Johnathan; four great grandchildren Kane, Trey, Lauren and Cayla.

Mr. Menard was preceded in death by his parents Columbus and Lillian Joubert Menard and two sisters, Velma Boss and Anna Mae Joubert.

Visiting hours will be observed on Friday January 19, 2007 from 1:00-10:00PM and re-open at 8:00AM on Saturday until service time. A rosary will be recited at 7:00PM on Friday.
