Opelousas - A memorial service for Iris Ann Oglesby will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2015, in the Community Christian Assembly in Opelousas. Pastor Richard "Rick" Oglesby will officiate the service.
Iris was a resident of Sunset. She passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at Lafayette General Medical Center at the age of 68. Mrs. Iris and her husband, Pastor Richard "Rick" Oglesby have been the Pastors of the Community Christian Assembly for 34 years. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
Iris is survived by her husband, Richard "Rick" Oglesby of Sunset; her children, Gregg Richard Oglesby, Richard Larry Oglesby, and Brandi Joann Oglesby; sister, Carol Marshall; ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Iris was preceded in death by her parents, Chester Marshall and Leontine Mehlhaff Marshall.
Visitation will be held at the Community Christian Assembly, 2443 I-49 S. Service Road, Opelousas, LA, on Saturday, September 5, 2015, from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.
