Irene Boudreaux

Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial for Irene Guidroz Boudreaux, age 103, will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2010, time pending, in the Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church, followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park. The Reverend Keith DeRouen will be the celebrant of the Mass.

Mrs. Bourdreaux who was a native of Arnaudville and a resident of Opelousas, died at 1:40 a.m. on Sunday, December 19, 2010 in the Heritage Manor Nursing Home.

She worked as a cook for the St. Landry Parish School Board. Irene was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

Survivors include three daughters, Wilma Boudreaux Vidrine and husband Ivan of Lafayette, Laura Bourdreaux Briley and husband J.D. of Lafayette, and Norma Boudreaux Wyble and husband John of Opelousas a sister, Eva Guidroz Zerangue of Opelousas 14 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 6 greatgreat grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Paul Boudreaux and her parents, Duprelon and Eva Lalonde Guidroz.

Visitation will be in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Monday, December 20, 2010, from 4:30 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. until service time.

A rosary will be held on Monday evening.

Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
