Hubert Gauthier, Sr.

Opelousas A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 23, 2013, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel for Hubert Gauthier, Sr. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the ArdoinGauthier Cemetery. Steve Younger, Toby Ryder and Gary Herman will officiate the service.
Hubert was a resident of Lafayette, LA. He went to be with The LORD on August 19, 2013 at 9:58 P.M. surrounded by his loving wife and family. Hubert was born on February 1, 1945. Hubert was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Marine Corp. He worked in the Oilfield and did insurance and real estate sales. Hubert was currently a real estate investor, purchasing, renting and selling real estate. Hubert and Eloise enjoyed traveling and visiting different places in the US and abroad. His favorite country was Israel. Hubert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was a great influence on many young people, family and friends.
Music will be provided by Kevin Vincent on Thursday evening at 7:00 P.M.
Survivors include his wife, Eloise Ardoin Gauthier, sons, Hubert Hugh Gauthier, Jr, Peter Gauthier and daughter in law, Misty, sister, Judy Thomas, three grandsons, Colton Meaux, David Gauthier, Malaki Tacakas, five granddaughters, Cyndle Meaux, Brooke Lynn Gauthier, Samantha Gauthier, Emily Gauthier, and Piper Gauthier, one sister, Judy Thomas and her husband, Tom Thomas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jules and Elvina Gauthier and two brothers, Herbert and Johnny Gauthier.
Pallbearers will be: Hubert Hugh Gauthier, Jr., Peter Gauthier, Kenneth Moreau, Ricky Ware, Daisy Duhon, and Faith Broussard
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Thursday, August 22, 2013, from 3 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. On Friday, visitation will continue from 8:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. in the funeral home.
